Weekly Highlights
Happy Friday!
Dumb officially came back into style this week with the launch of the DumbWare team's latest project, DumbTerm – a stupidly simple web-based terminal emulator. Joining the likes of DumbDrop, DumbPad, DumbBudget, and DumbDo, the project is the latest in a line of dead-simple apps that are meant to be easy to deploy and maintain. DumbMail next, please?
In other notable self-hosted activity:
- My 4,400+ icon collection over at selfh.st/icons now supports custom colors for those willing to deploy a lightweight self-hosted proxy server
- The European-based entity PixelUnion caused a bit of a stir with their new photo hosting service built on Immich – and the community seems to be split between whether this is a good thing (or not)
- Redditor u/RebelOnionfn put together a handy visual for those who haven't been following the previously announced Plex Pass price increases that went into effect this past week
- The world was introduced to the Fusion Chime Vision – an open-sourced ESP32-based doorbell system
- The JetKVM project put a hold on U.S. backers of its new KVM device as a result of price uncertainties due to tariffs
Happy selfh.st/ing!
